WHERE TO GO
TOP OF THE ROCK (ROCKEFELLER CENTER)
Top of the Rock has hands down one of the best views of NYC! In my opinion, the pictures are even better than those you can get from the observatory deck in the Empire State Building. Plus, in Top of the Rock, you can actually SEE the Empire State Building and have it in the background of your pictures. Tickets are about $40 per person, but I would say it is definitely worth it! You can buy the tickets ahead of time online here to avoid the lines (which can sometimes get long).
I have also linked my outfit details below!
My Coat: JCREW (sold out) | Similar Coat: Etsy | My Top: Missguided | Similar Top: Boohoo | Similar Fur Vest: Urban Outfitters | Belt: Gucci | Similar Star Hoop Earrings: Amazon | Similar Perfume Purse: Amazon |Glasses: RayBan
- SOHO (good mix of boutiques, high fashion designers, & affordable yet classy stores) *First Stop* is one of my favorites– very trendy and economical
- MACY’S (Herald Square– World’s Largest Macy’s!)
- CENTURY 21 (Downtown by 9/11 Memorial is the best one) *literally huge store with lots of designer merch on sale*
WHERE TO EAT
What I ordered: Thai Spring Rolls (appetizer), & “Draculla Repellent” (Entree), which had chicken, garlic sauce, mushroom, onion, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and scallions.
~Overall it was pretty good! It was a good and relatively light meal before our huge milkshakes at Black Tap.
BLACK TAP — MIDTOWN
My order: “The Cake Shake” | Cake Batter Shake: vanilla frosted rim with rainbow sprinkles topped with a funfetti cake slice, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles & a cherry.
My sister’s order: “Sweet N’ Salty | Peanut Butter Shake: chocolate frosted rim with chocolate gems & PB cups topped with a sugar Daddy, pretzel rods, chocolate covered pretzel, whipped cream & chocolate drizzle.”
My mom’s order: “The Cookie Shake | Vanilla Cookie Shake: vanilla frosted rim with cookie crumbles topped with a ‘cookiewich,’ crumbled cookies, chocolate chips, whipped cream & chocolate drizzle
~Easily the most amazing milkshake I have had (& I finished less than half of it so I highly recommend splitting!)
My order: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (with mixed berries & whipped ricotta)
Another recommendation: Nutella French Toast (if they have it, I highly recommend it… seriously to die for!)
Gorgeous atmosphere, within Nomo Soho Hotel. Also is a beautiful & aesthetic place for pictures with the greenery arch entering the hotel!
Appetizer: Hummus Plate (crispy chickpeas, nean, pita, cucumber, & picholine olives)
Entree: Fresh Mozzarella Flatbread (san marzano tomatoes, parmesan, basil)
Amazing food, views, and atmosphere! HIGHLY recommend going here.
Appetizer: Fresh Chips & Salsa (comes with the meal) & Guacamole (extra & a bit pricy for guac, but worth it in my opinion)
Entree: Chicken Quesadilla (adobo-marinated grilled chicken breast, chihuahua cheese, & pico de gallo) ~they also bring a side of rice & mashed black beans~
Once again, another place with a pretty, aesthetic atmosphere, and the food was super yummy. Definitely recommend.
LADURÉE PARIS (MADISON AVE)
Super cute design inside and out AND yummy macaroons! This location is also relatively close to the east side of Central Park near the Bethesda Terrace & Fountain (where Chuck & Blair got married for my gossip girl fans)!
